Entrepreneur Forum: A Great Opportunity for Local Area Businesses to Network

On the evening of August 21st, Hillsborough Township’s Economic & Business Development Commission (EBDC) in conjunction with William Trimmer, Ph.D., President of Right Force Orthodontics, Inc. and Chief Technology Officer of The iAssist Company, both Hillsborough based companies, held the second bi-monthly meeting of The Entrepreneur Forum at Hillsborough.  The first meeting was on July 15th.

The event was jointly hosted by Amboy Bank (Jane Gore - Vice President, Julie Totten - Branch Manager, Rob Hebestreit - Assistant Vice President) and Chabad Jewish Center of Southern Somerset County (Rabbi Shmaya Krinsky - Director).  It was held at Amboy’s facility at 32 New Amwell Road in space being leased by Chabad which will be having its Grand Opening there on September 14th.

The Entrepreneur Forum is for and by small and startup companies including those based on technology.  It is a place where business owners and entrepreneurs can meet with each other to share common experiences, ideas, problems and solutions.  It is also a forum where support services for small and start up companies can introduce themselves and discuss how they can help in such areas as financial (accounting, insurance, taxation), marketing, workforce and technology.

About 45 people attended the free event and heard 4 speakers, each of whom presented for about 15 minutes.  The program and speakers were:

       5:30 - 6:30 Networking

       6:45 - 7:00 Harvey Rich of Harvey Rich & Co.

Golden Grill Buffet (Co-owners Sam Girgis and Ed Anis) catered the meeting at no charge.  They are located in the Hillsborough Promenade Shopping Center at 30 Falcon Road.
The next meeting is expected to be in October.
