The Raritan Valley Choral Society, founded in 1990 in Hillsborough, New Jersey, is a chorus of varying ages, backgrounds and careers. The chorus is open to all residents of the region and offers a wide range of musical experiences. The variety and scope of the Raritan Valley Choral Society is unique, with innovative programs. Besides performing concerts through the year, the RVCS performs at community and civic gatherings and is available for additional performances. Concerts are performed at area churches with piano, organ, and/or instrumental accompaniment. Performances are open to the public. The RVCS includes the chorus, the Riverside Singers (an auditioned ensemble) and the Riverside Quartet which performances at senior citizen and community meetings. Rodney Briscoe is the Artistic Director. Rehearsals are held on Tuesdays at 7:30 PM, September through May at the Neshanic Reformed Church at 715 Amwell Road in Hillsborough. The Raritan Valley Choral Society is incorporated in the State of New Jersey as an educational, non-profit corporation.
